Dr Wei Hong is an Associate Professor of Chinese and the Coordinator for the Chinese Langage Program at Purdue University. She recieved her MA in German in 1986 from Tongji University, Shanghai, China and PH.D in Linguistics from Purdue University in 1993. She has published a number of articles, ranging from studies on requests in German and Chinese to teaching requests in Chinese, and multimedia-assited learning of Chinese and Business Chinese.
